This is what character and leadership look like:

The head football coach at Colorado State University is a guy named Mike Bobo. If you’ve heard of him, give yourself five points.

Mike Bobo is in the news today because he did something extraordinary and in doing so, he made a statement to all of us.

Last season, Bob’s CSU Rams went 3-9, a terrible season. Win or lose, however, Bobo was scheduled to receive a pay increase of $100,000.

Not long after the final game of the losing season, however, Bobo called the school’s athletic director, Joe Parker, and told him that he would decline the pay raise.

Bobo said in an interview that he believed that “accountability is a two-way street.”
