The Mariners Gold Ribbon mess has been alive for just over 90 days. That’s when the teacher union first sent a letter to Russell Lee-Sung, the Associate [insert bureaucratic title here].
90 days. During this time, parents and teachers have made multiple visit to to school board club meetings, the union has spoken at meetings, it has been covered extensively in this blog, and stories have appeared both the OC Register and the Daily Pilot. With all of that attention, you’d think that the superintendent of the district would step up and announce that he is personally taking charge of this situation and will ensure that no stone is left unturned in an effort to find out what happened and who was responsible.
That’s what you’d expect, but that’s not what you’re getting. Instead, you are getting stand-ins, shills, who are doing the heavy lifting while the superintendent goes about other important business, like trying to justify Swun Math.
Where is the superintendent on this and why hasn’t he stepped forward to reassure parents, students, and taxpayers?
