I e-mailed Vicki Snell last night and offered my congratulations and best wishes for a successful term.
I will not tolerate long faces in our house or anywhere else.
To those of you who voted to support the status quo, nothing has changed. In fact, our cause is stronger, thanks to the coalition of community leaders that is being created as a result of the campaign.
As I wrote yesterday “Fighting is in rounds. This is round one.”
My attitude today is reflected in this favorite quote by Teddy Roosevelt from 1910:
“It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better.
