In the OC Register recap of the October 8 school board candidate forum, Megan Nicolai wrote, “All candidates promised fiscal responsibility in the coming years.”
October 6 was the deadline for all candidates to file form 460 with the OC Registrar of voters. This form states how much money the campaign received, where it came from, and how much was spent. My form was filed on that day. My opponent’s was not received in the Registrar’s office until October 22, 16 days late.
Promising fiscal responsibility is easy. Executing it? Well, for some people, it seems to be easy to break a promise.
